It is no secret I like to let myself be inspired by fashion icons and style muses from time to time. After all, we need visual images and – more -importantly – people to provide us with a dose of fresh inspiration. Having that new positive energy is so important to feel like you can take on the world again with a big smile (or even bigger smile) and brand new plans. To me, it is the same as what traveling does to your soul. No wonder Dianne Vreeland’s famous words (and named-after documentary) ‘the eye has to travel’ say it all. The eye does have to travel to reach new ideas. That’s why style is always in development, it travels with you and takes in everything you see and experience.
Casual Outfits That Should Be Your Go-To
Now, let’s get straight into what is most important to me in day-to-day style. Casual outfits are what you wear on most days, when you go to school or work (depends on your job), doing groceries or meeting a friend. They are what you feel comfortable in and that’s why my casual outfits are the most important to me. They are what I wear the most and enjoy wearing the most. Having great casual outfits has a huge impact on how you feel, it brings joy and peace of mind.
1. Romantic Top And Jeans
This is definitely a staple among my favorite casual outfits. I think it is about the balance that comes from the feminine lace or deep v-neck top/camisole – whatever cute romantic top you pick – with the tough and always cool vintage looking jeans. I am convinced this does not go out of fashion and is just right for every day. It will make you feel ready, pretty and comfy (at least it does for me).
2. Satin Wrap Ensemble
There is something about wrap tops and there is definitely something about satin. Together they are more than a winning team. Giving you just the right amount of cool and classy with a wink to previous fashion decades.
3. The Vintage Top and Slip Skirt
This leopard slip skirt has reached cult status and is one of my favorite items right now. It has that rock-chic look perfected to a science and is combined best with a vintage t-shirt. Super comfy, super stylish.
4. Levi’s Jeans and Block-Heeled Ankle Booties
90s chic formulated into the ultimate look has to be a Levi’s high-waisted jeans together with block-heeled ankle boots. My go-to casual outfit because it always proves to be a winner.
5. Nude and Minimalist
Nothing like a good nude ensemble. Beige minimalist items give space to great cuts, shapes and fabrics. Clean and natural tones are a staple in your wardrobe and bring the basis for combinations.
6. Classic Black
The right black outfit with classics like a coll sweater, ankle boots and a denim skirt or jeans makes you feel chic like nothing else. Effortless paired with classy makes for the on of the most ideal options among casual outfits.
7. Flower Babe
If there is any item that embodies the contemporary free-spirited girl it is floral dresses and skirts. What makes you feel more like the Jane Birkin of today than a great flowery dress with a French vibe?
8. Simple & Gold
In the end, I love simple outfits the most. Natural shades, coll sweaters and good fabrics. But I want it to have that cool vintage vibe that matches my personality and makes me feel good. The easiest way to do that is to have the right stack of gold jewelry. Just add to the stack as you go along and finish it off with some good sunnies. That’s it.
We can’t help but love this ultra-femme cropped top from Urban Outfitters. Made from a floral fabric in a slim fit with a front hook + eye closure and smocked panel at the back. Topped with ruffle trim along the square neckline and cuffs of the 3/4-length puff sleeves. Pairs perfectly with the UO Love Struck Floral Hook + Eye Mini Skirt.
