These are the Fall Winter 2018/2019 Trends from Fashionweek

Eighties Glam

The Fall Winter 2018/2019 collections had one era thing written all over them. From power-shoulders to shimmering sequins: the eighties are having a revival right now.

Saint Laurent is the biggest advocate for the eighties revival and has been for the past seasons. Seems like other designers now agree as it is one of the biggest trends for the upcoming Fall-Winter.

But also Balmain and Dior went for a touch of the eighties with a lot of glam, as their entire collection was covered in silver.

Savile Row

Up next, we move from the eighties to 18th century Mayfair, London. When the street Savile Row became internationally known for its tailoring of menswear. London’s most sophisticated street was nicknamed ‘the golden mile of tailoring’. No wonder Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen named their über chic and cool fashion line The Row after Savile Row.

One of the biggest trends of oversized jackets with a hint of tailored menswear is all over the runway this season. Although trend is hardly sufficient here, as those timeless jackets are no trend items at all. It is hard to think of an item that is more timeless, chic, and Olsen Twinesque (an item that is worth making up a new word for is a good one) than the ‘Savile Row’ jackets.

Modern Cowboy

I just love these looks. Not to say the cowboy theme is so renewing or groundbreaking. It reminds of a children’s party to be honest. But the clean Scandinavian version of Calvin Klein’s cowboy looks work well. And the big robust leather boots and jackets have an authentic feeling to them.

Pieces to make ‘yours’ that will be go-to pieces for far beyond this season. Also not to forget: with great dressing opportunities. Because tough mixes well.

Lammy Chic

Nothing like an amazing coat to make you forget all about summer and long for fall and winter. Something you might need some help with. Timeless and quality coats like this always do the trick. They lift up your wardrobe like nothing else and are the perfect shield to hide in when winter hits. The ultimate investment piece.

Gypsy Florals

Luckily you don’t have to entirely say goodbye to summer just yet. These gypsy floral dresses bring some drama to the fall winter 2018/2019.

I don’t know about you, but I see myself strutting around this winter in these floral dresses. They draw upon the authentic theme, as they are not like their summer counterparts. These florals belong to a more grounded woman, who likes more heavy quality fabrics. A floral dress that does not at all feel girly, but more grown.
