Gucci Fall 2017 Show
There is lot to note down from the Gucci Fall 2017 Ready to wear show. But if I have to pick one thing, it is that minimalism is done. The words ‘Gucci Mania’ describe what comes to mind when observing the creative invasion of pure art and vision walking down the runway.
Alessandro Michele took the fashion house to new heights since he took over as the creative director of Gucci. The designer created a Gucci Revolution by following his own path:
“I’m trying to follow my rules, not fashion rules.”
His innovative creations look at what is going to happen, not what has already happened. Something he succeeds in like no other designer today. This results in truly authentic creations, inspired by the beauty of the world around him as well as and by inspirations from the past.
The New Gucci Fall Elements
So, what do we take from this show? There is a lot to look at from this incredible show. The following themes were the inspiration for this magical show.

Mystic Pearl Princess: Ballerina’s with Pearls
Rock Snake Print
Reïnvention of the Classic Gucci Logo: With a Fantasy Twist
Logo’s The Nerdy Way
Fanny Pack With Mystic Fantasy Details
Punk Fantasy Elements
The Classic Gucci Loafers
Gucci’s designer, Alessandro Michele is greatly inspired by art. His inspiration by culture and history was clearly visible in the creations in this show. The collection was a creative mix of Renaissance aristocracy meets punk, mixed with a lot of Chinese influences. Every design is as surprising as the next which leaves the overall feeling of a world traveler who is inspired by different cultures of the world. Fabrics are thick, rich in quality and multilayered. Alessandro Michelle stays close to the ‘nerdy’ look that all of his designs have since he took over the wheel.
As Gucci’s first show that combined man and woman’s wear, it was revolutionary in multiple ways. The collection challenged how we wear fashion today in in every way. The Gucci show created the feeling of a true fantasy combined with darkness, punk with aristocracy, glam with nerdy, an overall captivating experience. Alessandro Michele has reinvented the already iconic Fashion House of Gucci into an entirely new era.
