Max Mara Fall 2017 Ready To Wear Fashion show
The Max Mara 2017 Fall Winter Show was not only marked by the brand’s signature classic and feminine look. It also reaffirmed the contemporary tendens in fashion right now that keeps moving towards representing diversity. It seems like people are done with the one dimesional image of perfect beauty in fashion. We have seen too much of the same, too much perfect and altered images and we know very well that in reality there is so much more.
Moving towards diversity
We see more and more etnicities and there is room for models like Winnie Harlow, the beautiful model with two skintones. It was still Halima Aden who stood out tremendously among the other models in the Max Mara Fall 2017 show. The five-foot-five model walked down the runway wearing the Max Mara’s beautifull creation of a hijab. This could have been quite the contrast with the other five-foot-eleven models who are all estamblished names in fashion. But the classy interpretation of the hijab showed how there should be a better representation of all cultural groups within fashion. Perhaps it is only strange this is not the case yet and we should strive towards a more open, realistic and therefor more healthy and interesting image.
Max Mara’s Woman of Today
The cultural diversity of the show was not the only way in which Max Mara showed the brand understands its time. The whole collection embraced what the woman of today needs. A contemporary, confortable wardrobe to face the professional challenges of the day. A confidence booster that helps you feel your best self and tackle any professional problem.
To face the urban jungle we need our wardrobe to work with us. Max Mara certainly understands how the ultimate coat, wool t-neck sweater and velvet pants can do that for you. If you are looking for sophisticated and timeless pieces, you will love this this collection just as much as we do.
Neutrals and Statements
The quality of ton-sur-ton ensembles in a timeless color palette simply create a dream fall fashion wardrobe. With the black, nude, grey and camel tones, Max Mara underlines the strength of its roots. The popping red creates a bold statement in line with this seasons trend.
As a nice alternative to fast fashion and streetwear, the focus here lies on tailored clothing. Inspired by Scandinavian design the collection breathes elegance and class. Statement piece of the collection is the oversized teddy coat, alligning with this fall/winter trend. Another statement was the bright red, which is the color of the season.
